Terms of Use

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for Rally ("we," "us," "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you're under 18, get your guardian's OK.

2. What You're Doing with Rally

Rally lets club captains manage teams, send texts/emails, schedule matches, etc. You agree to follow all applicable laws, including communication laws.

3. Registration & Contact Info

When you register, you'll give Rally your phone number and email. You must:

Provide accurate, valid info
Immediately update it if anything changes
Keep a timestamped record that you agreed to let captains text you

4. Consent for Messages

On the registration page, you'll see a checkbox:

"I agree to receive text notifications from my team captain through Rally."

Checking that box means you've opted-in. We log the date and time. Per Twilio's guidelines, that's compliant consent ("explicit opt-in" and recordkeeping).

5. Message Types

Transactional: Match times, schedule updates, partner info—always allowed once consented.
Promotional? Unless we clearly state you'd get promotional messages (and you opt in again), we won't send them.

6. Way to Opt-Out

Every text includes:

"Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

Replying with STOP (or any standard keyword) cancels future messages. We'll confirm your opt-out, and won't send more unless you opt back in. That meets Twilio's policy.

7. Message Sender ID

Texts clearly show they're from your captain via Rally, so recipients know who's reaching out.

8. Timing

We only send non-urgent messages between 8 a.m.–8 p.m. local time to respect guidelines.

9. Captain Responsibilities

Captains using Rally to message players must:

Keep opt-in records
Honor opt-outs immediately
Avoid spam, hate speech, illegal content, or adult/regulated content (as per Twilio)

10. Liability Waiver

We don't control how captains use messaging. You're responsible for what you send.

11. Modification of Terms

We can update these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use means you accept changes.
